DBA 4000 Series Performance Brake Disc

DBA 4000 Series Brake Disc is a high-performance single-piece replacement rotor designed for drivers seeking braking performance beyond standard OE levels. It is suitable for performance street vehicles and demanding driving applications.

The rotor is manufactured from High Carbon Alloyed Iron and undergoes DBA's Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP) process. This treatment helps improve rotor stability and durability when subjected to repeated high-temperature braking.

DBA's Kangaroo Paw ventilation system uses 144 diamond- and teardrop-shaped pillars to increase the rotor's surface area and improve cooling efficiency. DBA states that the design provides up to a 30% increase in surface area and up to 20% improvement in cooling efficiency compared with traditional straight-vane designs.

The 4000 Series also incorporates a CBN machine-turned finish to help minimise disc thickness variation and reduce the potential for brake pad knock and premature wear. Thermographic heat paint markings are available on applicable variants to help monitor braking temperatures and rotor fatigue.

The range is available in several configurations. HD features a smooth OE-style surface, while T3 adds DBA's patented tri-symmetrical bi-directional slot design for high-performance applications. XS Gold combines cross-drilled and slotted surfaces, while XD uses a cross-drilled and dimpled design.
