The Fabspeed Porsche 992 GT3 Valvetronic Nordschleife Cat-Back Exhaust System (2022+) is a performance-focused exhaust upgrade developed for the Porsche 992 GT3 and designed around its high-revving 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine.
Fabspeed developed the system by 3D laser scanning the OEM exhaust and underside of the GT3, then using the resulting CAD model to engineer an exhaust designed for OEM-level fitment. The system uses a 70 mm (2.75-inch) investment-cast X-pipe to connect both cylinder banks and optimize exhaust scavenging.
Fabspeed's incremental dyno development recorded 17.5 crank hp (+14 whp) and 17 ft-lb of torque at 4,200 rpm. The system also reduces rear exhaust weight by approximately 2.3 kg compared with the factory exhaust.
The Valvetronic design retains the functionality of the factory Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE), allowing the driver to switch between a more subdued exhaust character and a significantly more aggressive sound using the original Porsche exhaust-valve control.
With PSE activated, the 4.0-litre flat-six develops a sharper, more race-inspired exhaust note designed to evoke the character of a Porsche Supercup-style race car, while the system remains more restrained with PSE switched off.
The system is constructed from T304 stainless steel with titanium investment-cast inlet funnels and uses Helical Limited aerospace-grade exhaust valves from the UK. Multiple exhaust-tip configurations are available to suit the vehicle's desired appearance.
The Nordschleife Cat-Back is designed as a direct replacement for the relevant cat-back exhaust components and is engineered for precise fitment using Fabspeed's 3D-scanned CAD development process. Fabspeed lists the system for 992 GT3, GT3 RS and Speedster models worldwide.
