Capristo Audi R8 Gen2 Facelift Valved Exhaust CES3

The Capristo Audi R8 (Gen2) Facelift Valved Exhaust (CES3) is a high-performance exhaust system developed specifically for the facelifted second-generation Audi R8.

Manufactured from 1.4828 heat-resistant stainless steel, the system combines Capristo’s precision exhaust construction with electronically controlled valves to enhance the R8’s naturally aspirated V10 character.

The exhaust valves are managed by Capristo’s CES-3 programmable controller, which allows the valve operation to be configured according to driving conditions. The system also monitors exhaust back pressure, providing more precise control of the exhaust valves.

With the valves closed, the exhaust maintains a more controlled character for everyday driving. Opening the valves creates a more aggressive and pronounced exhaust note, allowing the naturally aspirated V10 to deliver a more emotional driving experience.

Capristo manufactures its exhaust components using TIG welding and finishes the stainless steel components to a high standard. The system is engineered to complement the Audi R8 Gen2 Facelift’s performance-focused character while providing greater control over exhaust sound.

The CES-3 system is programmable, allowing its operating characteristics to be adapted rather than relying solely on a fixed valve-opening strategy.
