iPE Mercedes-AMG GLA45 X156 Valvetronic Exhaust

iPE Mercedes-AMG GLA45 (X156) Exhaust System is a high-performance Valvetronic Exhaust System developed specifically for the Mercedes-AMG GLA45 X156, covering model years 2014–2019. The system is designed to improve exhaust flow while giving the GLA45 a more aggressive and distinctive exhaust character. iPE lists the system as being manufactured from Stainless Steel.

The key feature is iPE's Valvetronic Exhaust System, which allows the driver to control the exhaust valves according to driving conditions. The system provides three operating modes: ON, OFF and AUTO, giving the GLA45 a wider range of exhaust character from aggressive performance driving to quieter everyday cruising.

In ON Mode, the valves are fully open to maximize exhaust flow and produce an extremely loud and aggressive exhaust sound. This mode is ideal when a more pronounced performance character is desired from the AMG GLA45.

In OFF Mode, the valves are closed to reduce exhaust volume, creating a quieter and more comfortable character for everyday driving and cruising. AUTO Mode detects engine RPM and accelerator-pedal signals to automatically adjust valve operation according to driving conditions.

Each component is individually designed for the Mercedes-AMG GLA45, allowing iPE to optimize the exhaust routing and fitment for the X156 platform. According to iPE, the system is designed to overcome limitations of the factory exhaust while enhancing performance, sound and driving pleasure.

The system is available in different configurations, including Catback System, Catted Downpipe and Catless Downpipe, allowing the exhaust setup to be matched to the vehicle's intended use and performance configuration. Exhaust-tip finishes include options such as Chrome / Polished Silver, Chrome Black, Titanium Blue, Titanium Gold / Silver / Blue and Carbon Fiber.

A particularly important fitment requirement is that the iPE Catback System is designed for Left-Hand Drive (LHD) models only. This should be confirmed before ordering, especially for vehicles in right-hand-drive markets.
