specifically for the Audi B9 RS4 and RS5. The system was engineered to provide less restrictive airflow to the turbocharger while maintaining low intake temperatures under demanding driving conditions.
The B9 RS4/RS5 engine bay can become heat soaked quickly, making an open-cone intake less effective despite its potential for increased airflow. Eventuri therefore developed a fully sealed intake system that addresses both airflow restriction and heat management.
At the heart of the system is a Patent Pending Carbon Fiber Venturi Housing combined with Eventuri's Generation 2 High-Flow Filter. The reverse-mounted filter is enclosed within the carbon housing, which progressively reduces the cross-sectional area toward the intake tube. This creates a Venturi Effect, accelerating airflow while maintaining a smoother and more consistent flow profile into the turbocharger.
Eventuri also eliminates the convoluted factory inlet pipe and replaces it with a solid integrated carbon tube. The smoother transition from the filter housing to the turbo inlet reduces unnecessary changes in direction and helps create a more efficient airflow path.
The Carbon Fiber Intake Duct channels ambient air from the front of the vehicle toward the filter housing. It creates a sealed volume of cool ambient air immediately before the filter, giving the intake a ready supply of outside air while helping isolate the filter from hot engine-bay air.
A flexible rubber seal around the duct maintains the separation between the intake and engine-bay heat while allowing the carbon filter housing to move with the engine. Eventuri also incorporates a Secondary Duct Opening positioned in a cooler region of the engine bay to further enhance the available airflow.
At the front of the system, the Carbon Fiber Air Scoop is designed with a constant bend radius to efficiently direct ambient air into the intake duct. This helps keep inlet temperatures low and increases the rate at which Intake Air Temperatures recover after the vehicle has been stationary and the intake system has experienced heat soak.
For the complete carbon setup, Eventuri also provides a Carbon Fiber Secondary Duct that connects the main intake duct to the air-entry region on the slam panel. This replaces the openings found on the OEM component and creates a more complete and integrated intake system.
Eventuri's independent dyno testing on a B9 RS5 with no other modifications showed gains across a significant portion of the RPM range. The company reports a performance increase of 11–16 hp and 12–17 ft-lb at the wheels. Eventuri attributes the improvement to the combination of low intake temperatures, the Venturi housing's smoother airflow transition and the thermal insulation provided by the prepreg carbon construction.
The complete system combines the Carbon Fiber Venturi Housing with Integrated Tube, Generation 2 High-Flow Filter, Carbon Fiber Intake Duct, Carbon Fiber Front Scoop, Carbon Fiber Secondary Duct, Silicone Couplers, OEM-Spec Hose Clamps, Laser-Cut Stainless Steel Brackets and CNC-Machined Mounting Stubs.
