BILSTEIN B6 Performance Shock Absorbers

BILSTEIN B6 is a high-performance shock absorber designed as an upgraded replacement for the vehicle’s original OE dampers. It provides firmer and more precise damping while maintaining the factory ride height.

Developed with vehicle-specific tuning, the B6 is engineered to improve body control, stability and grip compared with standard shock absorbers. The result is a more controlled driving experience without changing the vehicle’s original springs.

The B6 uses monotube gas-pressure technology on most applications, with a larger working piston designed to provide precise and consistent damping control. BILSTEIN develops each application through road testing and vehicle-specific damper tuning.

Unlike the BILSTEIN B8, which uses a shortened design for lowering springs, the B6 is intended for vehicles running OE-height springs. This makes it a suitable choice for drivers who want improved suspension performance without lowering the vehicle.

The firmer damping characteristics can be particularly beneficial during cornering, braking, acceleration and when the vehicle is carrying additional loads. The result is improved composure and a more precise suspension response for both everyday driving and demanding road use.

BILSTEIN B6 shock absorbers are built to OE functional dimensions and are designed as a direct replacement for the corresponding original application. Installation and compatibility must be confirmed using the correct BILSTEIN part number for the specific vehicle.

For vehicles equipped with electronically controlled dampers, selected applications are also available in BILSTEIN B6 DampTronic versions, retaining compatibility with the vehicle’s electronic suspension control system where specified.
