BMC Air Filter Performance Replacement Filter

BMC Air Filter is a high-performance replacement air filter designed to replace the vehicle’s original paper filter while maintaining the factory airbox configuration. BMC develops its filters to provide increased airflow with efficient filtration.

The filter element uses multi-layer oiled cotton gauze supported by a metallic mesh. According to BMC, this construction provides high air permeability while helping retain contaminants during engine operation. BMC’s filtration testing is conducted according to ISO 5011 standards, with a stated filtration efficiency of 98.5%.

Unlike conventional disposable paper filters, BMC Air Filters are washable and reusable. The filter can be cleaned with the appropriate BMC detergent and re-oiled for continued use, offering a practical solution for drivers who want a reusable performance filter.

BMC replacement filters are supplied pre-oiled and are designed to fit inside the vehicle’s original airbox. Installation consists of removing the OEM filter and positioning the BMC replacement filter in the same location, subject to the specific vehicle application.

The filter construction also uses BMC’s Full Moulding manufacturing process, creating the characteristic filter structure without welded joints. The result is a durable replacement filter designed for long-term use and repeated regeneration.

For maintenance, BMC recommends regeneration using its dedicated cleaning and oiling kit. The manufacturer generally recommends washing and re-oiling every 20,000–25,000 km, although the appropriate interval can vary depending on driving conditions, climate and road environment.
