Fabspeed McLaren 720S Cat Bypass Pipes

The Fabspeed McLaren 720S Cat Bypass Pipes (2018+) are a race-oriented exhaust upgrade designed to replace the restrictive OEM 650-cell catalytic converters with straight-through pipes for maximum exhaust flow and an aggressive hypercar sound.

Designed for all McLaren 720S Coupe and Spider models from 2018 onward worldwide, the system replaces the factory catalytic converters rather than retaining them like a Sport Catalytic Converter upgrade.

The Cat Bypass Pipes are constructed from high-quality T304L stainless steel and 321 stainless steel, using CNC mandrel-bent tubing to optimize exhaust flow, velocity and durability. Fabspeed also incorporates cast inlet and outlet sections to provide smoother transitions into and out of the pipes.

Fabspeed lists an approximate 12 lb weight reduction compared with the OEM catalytic converter configuration. Current manufacturer data lists HP and torque figures as TBD, so no specific power gain is claimed for this product.

The unrestricted straight-through configuration is designed to deliver maximum exhaust flow and a significantly more aggressive race-inspired hypercar sound. Removing the OEM catalytic converters also creates a much more pronounced exhaust character compared with a catted configuration.

The system includes Fabspeed thermal heat blankets designed to manage the extreme temperatures around the exhaust components. The blankets help retain heat within the exhaust path while providing additional protection for surrounding components.

Installation is designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the OEM catalytic converters. Optional O2 spacers are available to help reduce the likelihood of triggering a Check Engine Light; however, Fabspeed states that Cat Bypass Pipes will produce a CEL on OBD2 vehicles.

This product removes the OEM catalytic converters and is intended strictly for closed-course, track and off-road use. It is not CARB or EPA certified and should not be used on public roads where prohibited by applicable emissions regulations.
