Fabspeed McLaren 720S HJS 200CPSI Sport Cats

The Fabspeed McLaren 720S HJS German 200CPSI Sport Catalytic Converters replace the restrictive factory catalytic converters with high-flow HJS German-imported catalysts designed to improve exhaust flow, performance and the exotic character of the 720S.

The system fits all McLaren 720S models from 2018 onward and replaces the four OEM catalytic converters with two large 200-cell HJS HD tri-metallic high-flow catalytic converters.

Fabspeed lists performance gains of up to +55 hp and +51 TQ, together with approximately 6 lb of weight reduction. These figures are based on testing under specific vehicle and ambient conditions, so actual results can vary between vehicles.

The HJS catalysts are designed for high exhaust flow, with Fabspeed stating flow rates of approximately 93–95% of a straight pipe. The selected HJS units are also rated to support more than 1,200 hp, making them suitable for high-output McLaren 720S applications.

The package includes Fabspeed thermal blankets designed to manage the intense heat generated around the catalytic converters. The blankets are rated to 2,200°F and help retain heat within the exhaust system while protecting surrounding engine components.

With reduced restriction after the turbochargers, the Sport Cats are engineered to support faster turbo spool and improved transient boost response while producing a more pronounced exotic hypercar exhaust character.

The system uses large-diameter inlet piping and CNC mandrel-bent tubing to optimize exhaust gas velocity and flow. Fabspeed also states that the HJS catalysts are designed to prevent catalyst-related check engine lights when used with a properly functioning engine and engine management system.
