Fabspeed Porsche 992 Carrera Valved Maxflo Exhaust

The Fabspeed Porsche 992 Carrera Cat-Back Valved Maxflo Exhaust System (2019+) is a performance cat-back exhaust developed for the Porsche 992 Carrera platform, designed to improve exhaust flow, performance and sound while retaining the functionality of the factory Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE).

The system fits U.S.-spec Porsche 992 Carrera, Carrera S and Dakar with the 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six, while Fabspeed also lists compatibility with 992.2 Carrera 3.0-litre models. The system does not fit the 3.6-litre hybrid configuration, including the 992.2 GTS.

Fabspeed lists performance gains of up to +22 hp and +75 TQ for the Valved Maxflo system. These figures are based on testing under specific vehicle and environmental conditions, so actual results can vary between vehicles.

The exhaust is constructed from CNC mandrel-bent 14–16 gauge T304L stainless steel and uses aerospace-quality Helical Limited exhaust valves imported from the U.K. The valve system is engineered to handle the high temperatures found in rear-engine performance vehicles.

With the PSE valves open, the Maxflo system produces a deeper and more aggressive flat-six exhaust character, with stronger pops during Sport-mode downshifts and more pronounced turbocharger spool sounds. With the valves closed, the system remains significantly quieter and is designed to maintain a drone-free cabin experience.

The system is laser scanned and CAD designed using an Ametek Handyscan 700 to achieve precise OEM-style fitment. It is compatible with both OEM Porsche catalytic converters and Fabspeed Sport Catalytic Converters, allowing the exhaust configuration to be upgraded further when required.

Installation is a straightforward bolt-on process with no cutting or welding required, making the Maxflo a practical upgrade for owners who want more performance and sound without giving up the flexibility of the factory PSE valve operation.
