Akrapovic Mercedes-AMG A45/S W177 Titanium Exhaust

The Akrapovič Mercedes-AMG A 45 / A 45 S (W177) 2022 Evolution Line (Titanium) is a high-performance exhaust system developed for the W177 A 45 and A 45 S, combining lightweight titanium construction with Akrapovič’s performance-focused exhaust engineering.

Constructed from high-grade lightweight titanium, the system reduces exhaust weight by 9.6 kg compared with the stock configuration. Akrapovič’s dyno testing recorded a maximum increase of 6.4 kW (8.7 hp) and 9.1 Nm, measured against a standard Mercedes-AMG A 45 exhaust.

The system features two pairs of titanium tailpipes with carbon-fibre sleeves, creating a distinctive visual finish while maintaining the lightweight character of the Evolution Line.

A specially developed exhaust valve regulates the exhaust sound and works with Akrapovič’s Control Kit electronics. The system can provide a smoother acoustic character in everyday driving and a deeper, more aggressive sound at higher engine speeds, with enhanced high-frequency tones and overrun character.

The different design and configuration from the original exhaust also optimize exhaust gas flow, providing additional tuning potential. Akrapovič offers an optional Downpipe (SS) for further development of the exhaust system; however, installing the optional Downpipe removes the ECE type approval of the Evolution Line system.

The Evolution Line is ECE type approved for vehicles equipped with an Otto/gasoline particulate filter (OPF/GPF). For the 2022 vehicle, the appropriate Control Kit for pre-facelift vehicles must be used.

Both S-ME/T/1H and the mandatory L-ME/SS/3 link pipe set are required for the complete system configuration.
