Capristo BMW M5 F90 Valved Exhaust CES-3

The Capristo BMW M5 (F90) Valved Exhaust with Mid-Pipes (CES3) is a high-performance exhaust system developed for the BMW M5 F90, combining Capristo’s valve technology with precision-manufactured stainless steel components.

The exhaust system is manufactured from heat-resistant 1.4828 stainless steel and produced by hand using TIG welding before being polished to a high-gloss finish. This construction is designed to provide durability while maintaining the premium finish expected from a Capristo exhaust system.

The system features the programmable CES-3 valve controller, which allows the exhaust valves to be freely programmed while monitoring exhaust back pressure. This gives greater control over the exhaust character according to driving conditions.

With the valves closed, the system can maintain a more controlled and refined exhaust character for everyday driving. Opening the valves allows a more pronounced and aggressive sound, giving the M5 F90 a stronger performance-oriented character.

For non-GPF vehicles, Capristo lists the CES-3 system as a rear silencer with control unit, connection pipes and pre-silencers. Capristo also offers separate racing configurations using replacement pipes, but these are listed with the EVCU-1 controller rather than CES-3.

The exact exhaust configuration must therefore be selected according to whether the BMW M5 F90 is equipped with GPF/OPF or not. Capristo’s current GPF configuration is designated for racing use and may require ECU programming.
