iPE Ferrari 458 Italia / Spider Exhaust System is a high-performance exhaust system developed specifically for the Ferrari 458 Italia and 458 Spider, covering models from 2009–2015. Constructed from Stainless Steel, the system combines iPE's Valvetronic technology with a performance-focused exhaust design to enhance power, reduce weight and deliver a more aggressive racing-inspired sound.
According to iPE's official performance data, the exhaust system can increase output by +15.0 HP at 8,200 rpm and +19.6 Nm of torque at 7,400 rpm. At the same time, the system reduces exhaust weight by 9.6 kg, making it approximately 36.9% lighter than the factory exhaust system.
The system is designed around the Ferrari 458's 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V8, with iPE focusing on creating a more distinctive racing character. The exhaust consists of a set of headers, Valvetronic muffler and dual-exit system, producing a deeper and more composed tone at lower speeds before transitioning into a sharper, more intense racing sound at high RPM.
At the center of the system is iPE's Valvetronic Exhaust System, which allows the exhaust character to be adjusted according to driving conditions. This gives the Ferrari 458 greater flexibility between a more restrained exhaust note during normal driving and a much more aggressive sound when the valves are opened.
iPE uses 304 Stainless Steel for the system, with the Cat-Back section featuring iPE's proprietary sandblasting treatment. According to iPE, this process is designed to help reduce heat soak while maintaining the strength, heat resistance and chemical stability associated with stainless steel.
The system is designed specifically for the Ferrari 458 Italia / Spider, with iPE stating that its Ferrari 458 components are 100% made in-house at its factory. This allows iPE to control the design and manufacturing process while developing a distinctive aftermarket exhaust character for the naturally aspirated V8.
The standard exhaust tips are finished in Chrome Silver, while alternative finishes are available as options, including Chrome Black, Titanium Blue and other tip configurations depending on the selected specification.
For customers upgrading the catalytic section, iPE specifies that the Cat Pipe / Cat-Bypass Pipe section is designed to fit only with the iPE Cat-Back System, so the complete exhaust configuration should be confirmed before ordering.
Overall, the iPE Ferrari 458 Italia / Spider Exhaust System combines +15.0 HP, +19.6 Nm of torque and 9.6 kg of weight reduction with Valvetronic control and a sharper high-RPM racing soundtrack, making it a comprehensive exhaust upgrade for Ferrari's naturally aspirated V8.
