iPE Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk8 Valvetronic Exhaust

iPE Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk8 Exhaust System is a high-performance Valvetronic Exhaust System developed specifically for the Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk8 and its EA888 Evo4 2.0L turbocharged engine. The system is engineered to improve exhaust gas flow, reduce weight and deliver a more aggressive exhaust character while retaining the ability to control the exhaust sound.

The complete exhaust system is handcrafted from T304 Stainless Steel, from the Cat Pipe through to the muffler. This construction provides a combination of durability, corrosion resistance and reduced weight, with iPE stating that the system achieves a weight reduction of 34% or 10.2 kg compared with the OEM exhaust.

At the heart of the system is the iPE Valvetronic Muffler, which allows the driver to adjust the exhaust character between a quieter and more aggressive setting. The valve system can be controlled through an OBD II Hand Gesture Control Sensor or a Bluetooth Remote Control Module, depending on the selected configuration.

With the valves closed, the system maintains a more subdued exhaust note for everyday driving. Opening the valves allows the Golf GTI Mk8's EA888 Evo4 engine to produce a deeper and more aggressive exhaust sound, bringing out more of the engine's character under acceleration.

The iPE system is available as a Catback Exhaust System, consisting of the Mid Pipe, Valvetronic Muffler and Chrome Silver Exhaust Tips. For customers seeking a more complete performance setup, iPE also offers optional Downpipe configurations.

The optional Downpipe is available in both 200 Cell High-Flow Sport Cat and Catless configurations. The 200 Cell option provides a high-flow catalytic solution, while the Catless Downpipe is intended for more aggressive performance applications. iPE recommends ECU tuning when using the Catless Downpipe and does not provide warranty coverage for a Check Engine Light caused by the Catless configuration.

Another highlight is the range of exhaust tip options. The standard system comes with Chrome Silver Tips, while customers can upgrade to Chrome Black, Titanium Blue or Carbon Fiber Tips for a more motorsport-inspired appearance.

Before ordering, it is important to confirm whether the vehicle is equipped with OPF, as iPE specifically states that the Golf GTI Mk8 system is available for both OPF and Non-OPF applications.
