Eventuri BMW B58 M140i / M240i Intake System is a complete high-performance intake system developed for BMW B58-powered F-Series M140i and M240i, engineered to provide a less restrictive airflow path to the turbocharger while maintaining effective control of intake air temperatures.
The system is designed around Eventuri's Complete System philosophy, combining the carbon filter housing, integrated MAF tube, high-flow filter, carbon scoop and multi-layer heat shielding into one optimized intake package. Eventuri's dyno testing on a standard BMW M240i B58 recorded a performance increase of 12–15 hp and 14–18 ft-lb of torque.
At the center of the system is the Prepreg Carbon Fiber Filter Housing with Integrated MAF Tube. The housing surrounds the reverse-mounted High-Flow Double Cone Air Filter and gradually shapes the airflow toward the MAF sensor and turbo inlet. This reduction in cross-sectional area creates a Venturi Effect, accelerating airflow while helping maintain smoother, more laminar flow conditions.
The carbon housing and inlet tube are manufactured as one continuous piece, minimizing internal interfaces and allowing the airflow path to transition smoothly from the MAF sensor diameter toward the larger turbo inlet diameter. This design helps reduce unnecessary disruption to airflow before it reaches the turbocharger.
The system uses a High-Flow Double Cone Air Filter positioned within the carbon housing. An Aluminium Cowl provides a smooth transition into the filter housing, while the carbon filter shroud helps create a controlled airflow environment around the filter.
Because the B58 intake is positioned close to the exhaust manifold, thermal management is a major part of the design. Eventuri uses a double-layer main heat shield together with a secondary shield and carbon heat shroud to protect the filter from heat radiated and conducted from the exhaust side. The air gap between the heat-shield layers also acts as an insulating barrier.
A Prepreg Carbon Fiber Intake Scoop is positioned behind the front grille to capture incoming ambient air and efficiently channel it toward the factory duct openings. Rather than using a flat surface that can disrupt incoming airflow, Eventuri designed the scoop with a continuous curved profile to direct air smoothly into the intake duct.
This dedicated cold-air feed is an important part of the system. Eventuri notes that heat shielding alone would not be sufficient to maintain low intake temperatures as the engine bay becomes heat soaked, particularly because the B58 exhaust manifold is located directly next to the intake.
On the road, the increased airflow translates into stronger part-throttle and full-throttle response, with Eventuri reporting that the B58 pulls more eagerly toward the redline. The dyno comparison showed increased power and torque across a large portion of the RPM range.
