Eventuri BMW E39 M5 Intake System

Eventuri BMW E39 M5 Intake System is a high-performance intake system developed specifically for the BMW E39 M5, designed to optimize airflow to the S62 V8 engine while maintaining compatibility with the factory ECU map and MAF sensors.

Unlike a conventional intake upgrade that simply replaces the factory filter, Eventuri developed the E39 M5 system as a complete solution, replacing the factory airboxes with Carbon Fiber Venturi Housings and optimizing the airflow path from the front of the vehicle to the MAF tubes.

The patented Venturi housing surrounds the reverse-mounted Generation 2 High-Flow Filters and smoothly transitions the airflow toward the circular MAF tubes. This gradual reduction in cross-sectional area creates a Venturi effect that accelerates the airflow while helping maintain laminar flow, reducing turbulence compared with the factory airbox arrangement.

Eventuri also addresses one of the key limitations of the factory system: the long airflow path from behind the front bumper. The factory airboxes use a cuboid shape before transitioning into the circular MAF tubes, which can create turbulence. The Eventuri Venturi housings are designed to make this transition significantly smoother and more efficient.

For cold-air supply, the system features replacement Foglamp Surrounds with integrated Air Ducts. These ducts connect to flexible neoprene sections and channel ambient air directly toward the intake housings. This provides a dedicated cold-air feed and helps prevent the intake system from becoming heat soaked, allowing the engine to draw air closer to ambient temperature while the vehicle is moving.

The complete system consists of two Carbon Fiber Venturi Housings, two Generation 2 High-Flow Air Filters, two Aluminum Cowls, two Foglamp Surrounds with integrated Air Ducts, flexible Neoprene Ducting, Laser-Cut Aluminum Shields and custom brackets, together with high-quality silicone couplers and BMW-specification hose clamps.

In Eventuri's back-to-back dyno testing, the E39 M5 intake was compared with the factory airbox on a standard vehicle using the standard ECU map and exhaust, with the hood closed. Eventuri reports a performance gain of 8–12 hp and 8–10 ft-lb of torque.

For the BMW E39 M5 S62 V8, the Eventuri Intake therefore provides more than a visual carbon upgrade. It combines improved airflow efficiency, a dedicated cold-air supply and optimized Venturi housing geometry to enhance the engine's breathing and overall driving response.
