Eventuri BMW E46 M3 Intake System is a high-performance intake system developed specifically for the BMW E46 M3, designed to optimize airflow to the naturally aspirated S54 inline-six engine while improving throttle response, power delivery and induction sound.
The system was developed through extensive data logging, dyno testing and design optimization, with the objective of producing a genuine improvement while retaining compatibility with the factory ECU map and MAF sensor. Eventuri's testing recorded a performance increase of 10–15 hp and 8–12 ft-lb of torque.
At the heart of the system is Eventuri's Patented Carbon Fiber Housing, which creates an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the High-Flow Filter toward the MAF tube. The housing gradually reduces the internal cross-sectional area around the filter, creating a Venturi effect that accelerates airflow while maintaining controlled, laminar flow conditions.
The intake uses a 100% Prepreg Carbon Fiber Housing combined with an Anodized Aluminum Inlet Cowling and a High-Flow dry filter. The system is designed to provide a smoother and more efficient airflow transition than a conventional intake arrangement.
A 100% Prepreg Carbon Fiber Air Scoop with a CNC-machined aluminum collar directs ambient air directly toward the filter opening through the front right-hand brake duct. Eventuri designed the scoop to occupy only part of the duct, allowing airflow to continue toward the brakes while supplying the intake with cooler ambient air.
Thermal management is handled by three aluminum heat shields. The shields help isolate the intake from engine-bay heat while directing ambient air from the scoop toward the filter. Neoprene insulation is also used on the main shield to further minimize heat transfer.
The CNC-machined aluminum MAF tube is designed to work with the factory MAF sensor and OEM rubber gasket, providing a precise seal while maintaining a smooth transition into the factory intake elbow.
On the road, the additional airflow translates into improved part-throttle and full-throttle response, with Eventuri reporting that the E46 M3 pulls more eagerly toward the redline. The system can also be used with a subsequent ECU remap, where Eventuri has observed further gains.
