CSF BMW E90/E92/E93 M3 High-Performance Power Steering Cooler

CSF #8041 High-Performance Power Steering Cooler is a cooling upgrade developed for the BMW E9X M3, including the E90, E92 and E93 M3, to improve thermal management of the power steering system during demanding driving conditions.

The cooler uses a Dual-Pass CAB-Brazed design, replacing the OEM mechanical-style power steering cooler with a more efficient heat-exchange solution. CSF's testing and development data indicate approximately 40% greater cooling efficiency than the OEM cooler.

The compact design is engineered specifically around the E9X platform, providing increased cooling performance while maintaining the original installation location and vehicle packaging.

CSF developed the #8041 as part of its comprehensive E9X M3 cooling programme, alongside its upgraded radiator, engine oil cooler and transmission cooler. The system was developed and track-tested as part of CSF's performance cooling package for the E9X M3.

The cooler follows CSF's Drop-In Fit philosophy, allowing the factory installation configuration to be retained without requiring modifications to the vehicle. This makes it suitable for performance-oriented street cars, weekend cars and track-focused E9X M3 builds.

For an E9X M3 regularly driven aggressively or subjected to high ambient temperatures and sustained load, improved power steering cooling provides additional thermal capacity for the steering system.
