Fabspeed Ferrari F8 Tributo Sport Catalytic Converters

The Fabspeed Ferrari F8 Tributo Sport Catalytic Converters (2020+) are high-flow catalytic converter upgrades designed to reduce the restriction of the factory catalytic converters while allowing more of the Ferrari F8 Tributo's twin-turbo V8 character to come through.

Designed for all Ferrari F8 Tributo Coupes and Spiders from 2020 onward worldwide, the system replaces the restrictive factory catalytic converters with high-performance HJS units while maintaining a catted exhaust configuration.

At the heart of the system are German-imported HJS 200-cell Tri-Metallic HD catalytic converters, selected by Fabspeed for their high-flow characteristics and durability. Fabspeed states that these catalysts can flow approximately 93–95% of a straight pipe, providing a high-flow exhaust path while retaining catalytic emissions treatment.

The larger HJS catalyst cores are designed to maximize available flow within the F8 Tributo's engine bay. Compared with the factory ceramic 700-cell catalytic converters, the Fabspeed Sport Cats provide a less restrictive path that allows more exhaust energy and the natural sound of the twin-turbo V8 to be heard.

Fabspeed lists approximately 5 lb (2.2 kg) of weight reduction compared with the factory catalytic converters. Current manufacturer data lists horsepower and torque as TBA, so no specific power gain is claimed here.

The system uses CNC mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel tubing together with premium T321 stainless steel flex bellows, providing a durable construction designed to withstand the high temperatures of the F8 Tributo's performance-oriented exhaust system.

The Sport Cats are also designed to enhance the exhaust note, allowing more of the V8's natural exhaust character and turbocharger sound to come through. Fabspeed specifically recommends combining them with its Valvetronic X-Pipe Exhaust System for a more pronounced F1-inspired sound.

Installation is designed as a direct bolt-on application, requiring no cutting or welding. Fabspeed states that the system is optimized to prevent a catalyst-generated Check Engine Light when used with a properly functioning engine and engine management system.
